About Us

Family-Owned Since 1977 –
Home of Grandma’s Special Sauce

In September 1977, Rosalina and Arturo Garcia opened the doors of La Fiesta in Mountain View, California — a restaurant built on the heart of family, food, and hospitality. What began as a small neighborhood spot quickly became a beloved South Bay institution: a place to celebrate milestones, share comfort after a long day, and feel at home among friends.

Nearly five decades later, La Fiesta remains a cornerstone of the community and a living tribute to family. The Garcias have worked side by side across generations — from Rosalina and Arturo to their children (Columba, Alexandro, Helena Sol, Rosa Sierra, Lily, and Lucy) and now their grandchildren (Viari, Davin, and others). To this day, you can still find Lucy warmly greeting guests at the door.

La Fiesta has not only brought people together over countless meals and memories — it’s also inspired a legacy. The next generation of Garcias have carried their family’s recipes and spirit of hospitality to new ventures across the Bay Area, including Sun of Wolf, Blue Agave Club, Fiesta Del Mar, Fiesta Del Mar Too, and Vive Sol — all family-owned and operated.

Our signature dish, Enjococado (known affectionately as Grandma’s Especial), is a cherished family recipe that dates back over 100 years. This comforting chicken dish, cooked in a sour cream base with a medley of spices and chiles, was once reserved for family and close friends — but today, we’re proud to share it with everyone who walks through our doors.

At La Fiesta, every meal tells a story — one of love, tradition, and community that continues to thrive in the heart of Mountain View.
